Bi-ray defies borders for the 'Butterfly (Acoustic Version)' narrative music video that was directed by world-renowned composer, producer, and rock legend Yoshiki.
The video features several Hollywood actresses such as Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Academy Award-winning actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Colleen Camp, and Gigi Zumbado, who were all part of the 2025 action-comedy film Bride Hard.

The video captures as the star-studded actresses and Bi-ray unite under the vision of Yoshiki's directorial vision, set with Los Angeles as the background. The opening scene was planned meticulously and shot in one continuous take without any cuts, making the style reminiscent of the movie Birdman. The unedited and continuous flow of the video hooks and pulls viewers into the narrative, really capturing their attention.
The video follows the concept of the Hollywood actresses prepping Bi-ray for their glamorous careers as it leads into a stunning and distinctly individual performance by Bi-ray.
The video also infuses some scenes from director Simon West’s Bride Hard, making it a flawless blend between Yoshiki's work and moments from the movie to create a perfect balance.
The song "Butterfly (Acoustic Version)" that the music video surrounds is a top-notch showcase of Bi-ray's vocal abilities against the soft and stripped-back acoustic backing track. The agonizingly rich track overflows with emotion as it slowly builds to create a bold cinematic arrangement. It shows off their cohesive maturity as a group, allowing them to cement their identity as one of the most promising rising stars in Japan. Bi-ray’s four members Emi, Hinata, Cocomi, and Michelle were personally handpicked by Yoshiki.
Yoshiki shares, “The moment I heard their voices, I knew they were something extraordinary. Each member has a unique sound, and together they’re a force ready to change the future of J-Pop."
This music video truly showcases the power of Bi-ray and blends their flair for fashion, eye-catching visuals, and raw talent with the amazing skills of Yoshiki, paving their way to becoming powerhouses in J-Pop.
