Cavetown claimed his spot as one of the most promising indie acts of this generation with his hit tracks 'Boys Will Be Bugs,' 'Lemon Boy,' 'Fool,' and 'Devil Town,' which are all fan-favourite tracks that flag landmark moments in his career thus far.
With his upcoming album Running with Scissors, Cavetown aims to display a more grown-up version of himself — shedding his adolescence as he takes on a more mature tone. This album was a product of a two-year healing journey capturing various themes ranging from intergenerational relationships, internal reflection, and the journey of navigating adulthood.
Cavetown explains the effect that he hopes the album has on listeners as he shares, "I want listeners to enter this new era with me and not feel like it’s for kids. Because I’m not a kid anymore. I want it to feel like we’re moving forward together.” With the Running with Scissors Tour, he hopes to reach out to the fans that have also grown with him as they reminisce about the relatable journey of growing up while being bonded by his music.
