Ombak Festival is making a big splash in Desaru Coast this 12–14 September, returning with an expanded lineup and fresh experiences that blend music, art, food, and family fun.

Leading the charge this year are British soul-pop legends Simply Red, celebrating their 40th anniversary with an exclusive Southeast Asia show. Joining them are funk pioneer George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, UK soul queen Joss Stone—previewing her upcoming 2025 album—and electronic duo Flight Facilities, who are making their Malaysian debut.

Ombak’s regional spotlight shines brighter than ever with a diverse ASEAN lineup. Expect performances from Malaysia’s own Joe Flizzow, SonaOne, and Ismail Izzani, alongside Phum Viphurit (Thailand), Diskoria (Indonesia), The Pinholes (Singapore), and Vanthan (Cambodia). Rising acts like Tanayu, Don West, Kyoto Protocol, and Keyana round out the genre-spanning bill.

Beyond the music, festivalgoers can dive into curated culinary experiences including Sazón Tapas & Grill by Chef Andrew Walsh, Carbon KL’s "Smoke & Fire" concept, and a "Flavours of Johor" showcase.

Creative expression takes center stage with art installations and workshops by Segaris Art Center and Pulau Pulao, plus indie markets by Pasar Seloka and live mural painting. Mah-jong sessions, community collabs, and eco-conscious craft projects add to the mix.

Families can explore Ombak Kids, a dedicated zone featuring giant puppets Meera & Fiz, LEGO speed-building with LEGOLAND, kite flying, and a whimsical funfair by Mereka.

Tickets are on sale now via ombakfestival.com and Ticketmelon, with prices ranging from RM200 for Friday-only access to RM650 for a full three-day pass.

With more acts to be announced this July, Ombak Festival 2025 is set to be the ultimate end-of-summer escape.
