BELIFT LAB’s announcement that Heeseung would be leaving ENHYPEN for a solo career has sparked an overwhelming response from fans worldwide. After the news was shared on 10 March, supporters mounted a massive campaign on 28 March, with reports claiming more than 10 million hashtag uses within just seven hours.
The reaction unfolded across multiple fronts. Protest trucks were seen circling HYBE headquarters with messages that stated ENGENEs would be boycotting the label until they stopped exploiting their idols and brought back all seven members of ENHYPEN once again.
Another form of fan protest was a Change.org petition calling for support surged past 2 million signatures from 194 countries. Members of the group, including Heeseung, also shared heartfelt letters in support of one another, adding an emotional layer to an already deeply felt moment for fans.
