EVNNE is back again with their fifth EP LOVE ANECDOTE(S) that also marks the second EP they have released this year. The album sets the stage for their upcoming tour SET N GO that will happen this October.

Since their debut, EVNNE has developed their image as a rowdy yet lovable bunch as they exude their passionate and energetic image in every release from their first EP Target: ME to their latest release, LOVE ANECDOTE(S) that still includes their youthful sprite despite their artistic growth.
Mun Junghyun, a member of EVNNE, expresses the growth that they have seen in their music style on the EP as he reflects, "We tried working on various genres to show how much we have matured so far through LOVE ANECDOTE(S). I hope you give much love and support to the new side of EVNNE that hasn’t been shared yet!"
In line with what Junghyun shared, the album definitely displays a huge evolution in EVNNE's signature sound with its vast variety of genres from dance pop to funk that are woven together with lyrics that depict how love blooms through the eyes of EVNNE. The band's usual easygoing and confident sound shines through bright on this album as they preserve the spunk that has been evident in all of their previous releases.
The album's tracklist boasts six tunes featuring, 'dirtybop,' 'Mako,' 'love chat,' 'PUT IT ON ME,' 'Newest,' and the smooth R&B and hip-pop infused title track 'How Can I Do' that presents a charming and suave display of EVNNE's desires to lead in love through their unique methods.
The track is accompanied by a music video that captures each of the band members with an item that represents them the best—showcasing the album’s themes of "flirting" and the album’s main concept version "Cheeky". The band literally dances up a storm as they pull out their show-stopping moves in the rain. The video is definitely a treat for fans and is an amazing visualisation of the themes of the track.
Another tune that stands out on the album is, 'Newest,' which the band leader Keita had a hand in writing, ensuring that the lyrics perfectly encapsulated EVNNE's personality, contributing greatly to bringing their musical flair to the next level while staying true to their original style.
“I went through a lot of consideration in bringing each member’s sound and strengths when I was working on 'Newest.' Now, I’m very proud to showcase what kind of group EVNNE truly is with this track!,” Keita shared about the process behind writing the song.
Up next for EVNNE are the American and European legs of their SET N GO tour, which embarked in Seoul this April after the release of their fourth EP HOT MESS. The Asian and Australian legs of their tour took them to cities such as Taipei, Melbourne, Sydney, Macau, Osaka, Aichi, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Singapore, and Jakarta.
Now with the release of LOVE ANECDOTE(S), they mark a new beginning as they embark on the second instalment of their tour that will start in America on 1 October and will continue through Europe starting on 22 October. Click here for more information about their tour.
