Sugizo takes on Inoran as LUNA SEA's guitar gods engage in a battle of the axes in Singapore

We’ve been dazzled by the brilliance of guitar gods so far – we saw Generation Axe tear it up with their virtuoso skills, and witnessed the guitarists of math rock and experimental band Polyphia come by our sunny state under the good auspices of Swee Lee and Ibanez to deliver a clinic on how to sound like the best in the business.

It doesn't stop there – this year is turning out to be a treat for guitar lovers because the inaugural concert to be held at Zepp @ Big Box is set to be a showdown of epic proportions between Japanese rock guitarists Sugizo and Inoran.

While both are founding members of the pioneering visual kei band LUNA SEA, they are both also equally heralded – legends – in their own right. And best of all, the guitar deities will bring their own side projects for this leg of their Asia tour to Singapore on the 24th of June.

It looks to be an exciting match up as Sugizo’s experience with heavy metal band X Japan – which has probably lent itself to a lot of shredding and speedy solos – goes head to head with Inoran’s more chill experience being the guitarist for the bilingual Ken Lloyd.

What’s for sure is that while these two legends go up against each other, the skills and sounds on display will delight the eardrums of anyone who has lent a ear or two to the fantastic music the two guitarists have put out over time, regardless of whether it be with LUNA SEA or their individual projects.

Tickets for Sugizo vs Inoran presents Best Bout 2017 are priced at $98, $168 and $188 (VIP). Click here for tickets and more info.
