Idris Elba is bringing his dance-music alter ego to Bangkok.
Performing as IDRIS, the actor, DJ, and producer will take over Cloud 11 Theatre on 26 September for a one-night-only show presented by Collective Minds. The night will also mark the arrival of his record label and music platform, Sound International, in the Thai capital.

Before becoming internationally known for his acting career, Elba had already found his footing behind the decks. Introduced to DJing by his uncle, who ran a London sound system, he later balanced acting with DJ sets at club night Twice as Nice.
His career as IDRIS has since taken him to Ibiza institutions including Pacha, Pikes, and Hï, as well as festival stages at Glastonbury and Coachella. Behind the decks, he brings together the Afro, calypso, and reggae sounds he grew up with alongside tech-house and progressive rhythms.
Sound International continues that musical lineage. Elba created the label in tribute to his uncle's original sound system, building a home for the global house sound that has shaped his DJ career.
