Just five days before his death, JJJ had announced his upcoming The Light tour, which was set to begin in June and take him through cities like Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Tokyo, Hamamatsu, and Okinawa. The tour was eagerly anticipated by fans following his well-received performances in 2024.

JJJ first rose to prominence in 2013 as a member of the underground hip-hop group Fla$hBackS, alongside Febb and KID FRESINO. He later went solo, releasing acclaimed projects like Yacht Club (2014) and HIKARI (2017). Known for his introspective lyrics and genre-blending beats, JJJ was considered a vital voice in Japan’s hip-hop scene.

His sudden death has left fans and fellow artists in shock. Many have been paying tribute by sharing his music and memories online. Comedian Yasuko, a known fan, wrote, “I can’t believe it. The loss is great. I’m lonely.”

Space Shower Music has asked fans to honor JJJ’s memory by listening to his music—something many are already doing in the wake of this unexpected loss.
