Unlike traditional musicals, The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale features actor-musicians performing with over 20 instruments live onstage—delivering a captivating and immersive reimagining of Tolkien’s iconic trilogy through the eyes of the Hobbits. It begins in the peaceful Shire and follows Frodo’s quest to destroy the One Ring, confronting darkness and discovering the power of friendship and courage.

The show features original music by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, Finnish folk legends Värttinä, and Tony Award-winner Christopher Nightingale. With direction and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus, the production brings together a unique blend of storytelling, theatricality, and music that’s set to enchant audiences of all ages.
