Indonesian indie rock band Liar’s Wife have unveiled their debut EP All The What Ifs.
The five-piece — including vocalist Savia Diva, guitarist Ardiansyah Dwi, guitarist Stephen Fernando, bassist Rizal “Gaplek” Nandha, and drummer Thariq Hasnan — pack the EP with raw emotions of love, doubt, distance, and all the messy “what if” questions that never really go away. Across five tracks, they trace the slow unraveling of a relationship, the sting of separation, and the bittersweet effort to hold on to fading memories.

“For me, All The What Ifs is a way to encapsulate questions that were never truly answered,” Stephen shared. Savia added that her own “what if” moments poured straight into the lyrics, making the EP a diary of hurt and hope.
Produced by Thariq in their home-base WiarsLife Records, the record is a proper DIY effort — from recording and mixing, to the artwork designed by Ebing Doelano. The tracklist spans 'What Ifs,' 'Gulf,' 'Checks and Calls,' 'See You Next Year,' and 'Trembling Hands,' each one carrying the band’s signature mix of fragility and fire.
But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Liar’s Wife scored a big break performing at Pestapora 2025 via the Paguyuban Crowd Surf collective, only to later find out the festival had teamed up with a controversial sponsor. “We apologize to the fans and attendees for this incident,” Jojo said on behalf of the band.
And as if fate wasn’t done testing them, the band returned from a Jakarta gig at Krapela to find their hotel room broken into. Five merch tees and a Joyland souvenir bag were swiped, though a friend helped push the hotel to cough up compensation. “Maybe because we’re a band from Malang, there was a misfortune before we achieved success, (Laughs),” Thariq joked
Through it all, Liar’s Wife are standing tall. All The What Ifs is proof that they can turn heartbreak and hurdles into a record that fans will want to play on loop.
