Filipino singer and songwriter LUMI is back again with a heartwarming single, 'Kislap'.

'Kislap' which translates to "spark", features LUMI's signature Tagalog narrative lyricism which captures the electrifying moment when curiosity becomes connection. With a mix of pulsing drums and atmospheric guitars to convey the universal feeling of the rush when locking eyes with someone who might change everything.
“There are so many songs about heartbreak or falling in love. I wanted to write about what happens before all that — the second you realize something’s about to begin,” LUMI says. 'Kislap' is a track for dreamers and quiet observers.
'Kislap' has been a highly anticipated by longtime fans of LUMI as it marks the formal consolidation of his artistry and creative identities. It fuses LUMI who leaned into more polished genre fluid production, with his music as Lucas Miguel who is known for stripped-back, emotionally driven Tagalog tracks such as, 'Tingin'.
When asked about his creative identities, LUMI shared, "These were never separate personas, just different corners of the same room. At some point, I realized they weren’t too different — they were both me. This new chapter is about bringing those worlds together.”
Rather than a new identity, this move is more of a reflection of LUMI fully embracing his sound. Creating a beautiful medley between his newfound confidence in his pop-rock direction while staying true to his emotional storytelling style that has always defined his music.
With this newfound identity as LUMI, 'Kislap' represents the beginning of bigger things for the artist such as the release of a potential debut album that aligns with the narrative nature of previous projects as well.
