Filipino pop-rock quintet NOBITA and OPM icon Yeng Constantino have come together for a moving new collab, ‘Gayuma’, out now via Sony Music Entertainment.

Produced by Brian Lotho, the ballad captures the tension of holding back romantic feelings — a kind of secret love wrapped in doubt and hesitation. The band shares that the lyrics reflect “the uncertainty—whether what you feel is genuine love or just something that seems magical, almost like a spell.”

The track started as a long-shelved demo until NOBITA revisited it and felt it needed a female voice to bring balance and emotional nuance. “And there’s no one more perfect than Ms. Yeng—we’re just so lucky she agreed,” they said.

For Yeng, it was “love at first listen.” She specifically asked that the melody of the demo’s first verse remain intact, sharing, “The whole session, I was tapping into the emotion of falling in love. But once you immerse yourself in that space, you realize it’s hard to control your feelings.”

The result is a hauntingly tender duet — Yeng’s soulful voice blends with NOBITA’s heartfelt delivery, creating a synergy that’s both powerful and vulnerable. “Each artist brought their own style and emotional depth,” the band adds. “Instead of clashing, it blended beautifully. Yeng’s voice and artistry elevated the song’s sincerity.”

With Lotho’s production highlighting the warmth and immediacy of the song, ‘Gayuma’ pulls listeners into its emotional core. It’s a slow-burning confession that lingers long after the final note.
