Mongolian rock juggernauts The HU have released a brand new digital EP, Echos of Thunder, via Better Noise Music. While fans eagerly await the band’s next full-length album, this surprise drop reimagines three standout tracks from their 2022 record Rumble of Thunder, this time with a genre-blending lineup of special guests.

Leading the pack is ‘This Is Mongol (Warrior Souls)’, an electrifying remix by Trevor McNevan (Thousand Foot Krutch) under his alter ego Teerawk. The track also features powerful vocals from William DuVall of Alice In Chains, adding a gritty depth to The HU’s already massive sound. ‘Bii Biyelgee’ gets a melodic lift with Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees, while ‘Triangle’ is reimagined with the haunting vocals of singer-songwriter ROME. Each song is presented alongside its original version, giving listeners a fresh way to experience the band’s fusion of throat singing, traditional Mongolian instruments, and heavy rock.
“We hope our loyal fans will enjoy these new versions,” shared frontman Galaa. “From Classic Rock to Heavy Metal, our genre of Hunnu Rock has no limits.”
Echos of Thunder lands just as The HU kick off the European leg of their Incarnation world tour, with festival stops at Hellfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, and shows supporting Nordic folk band Heilung. With over 900 million streams, appearances at global stages like Coachella and Lollapalooza, and the prestigious title of UNESCO “Artist of Peace”, The HU continue to blaze a path for Mongolian music on the world stage.
