Filipino musicians ring in 2018 with thank you messages and new releases

Happy New Year! While we're all still reeling from our holiday hangovers, we take a look at what our local musicians have to say about the year that was and what us music fans should all look forward to in 2018.

The Ransom Collective

The Ransom Collective thanks fans for being a part of their 2017. The band is set to represent the Philippines in this month's Laneway Festival Singapore and in the Udaipur World Music Festival in India in February.

Indeed, it was a major year for us in 2017. We released our debut album, joined the first season of Coke Studio Philippines, flew out of the country to perform in India, and got recognized by MTV Asia as an artist to watch out for. Tiny wins we’d also like to mention is the feature of “Fools” in the OST of Siargao, the relaunch of our website, and the countless smiles, comments, and tweets people have shared with us saying our music has made them happy. After four years of being a band, it has never ceased to amaze us how impactful our music could be.

The band also shares their milestones in their year-end blog post. Read it here.
