The fifth edition of the Aliwal Urban Art Festival is right around the corner and this year and its line-up has been revealed. 

This year, local acts such as Bakers In Space, Mean, Vandetta, Sobs, Eatmepoptart, NADA and Koflow have been roped in to perform at the festival, along with a curated selection of music selectors and DJs, featuring Choice Cuts' DREM, Slugwife's FFINN, and the head of Straits Records, RAS IRIE. Apart from the musical performances, there will also be fringe activities scheduled, such as a soccer challenge, a skate drop-in clinic and more. 

There will also be a local street food section, scheduled to run throughout the duration of the festival for any hungry festival-goers. Art curation presented by RSCLS and The Blackbook will feature a tour around Kampong Glam, a spin cycle, a terrainware tent challenge, and stalls manned by Choice Cuts Records, Death Threads Vintage, ATTAGIRL, Syndicate, The Observatory and yours truly. Aliwal Urban Art Festival 2018 is a free event and will take place from 5pm 20th Jan till late at the Aliwal Art Centre.
