Alt-electronic party series Back In Black returns to kick off monthly residency at Chimichanga

Alt-electronic party series Back In Black is set to kick off its monthly residency at Chimichanga on Dunlop Street next weekend.

The series will return 21 April with three DJ sets from MNRV, Cosmic Ben (half of Cosmic Armchair) and Sozzy. The DJ sets will cover a wide array of genres not often found in Singapore's typical club scene, ranging from IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), Industrial, Noise, Experimental, Metal, Deathrock and more.

The event's organisers, Singapore Dark Alternative Movement (SDAM), have stated that the main purpose of Back In Black is to bridge the gap between Singapore's social scene and local music scene, providing the misfits and outcasts of mainstream culture an event where they can find refuge and solace with other like-minded souls.

MNRV commented on the concept of Back In Black, stating "This is as much about creating a space for people to feel able to express themselves as it is about the music. If you don't feel that you fit in in Singapore then you'll probably meet new friends at Back In Black. Come to the dark side; we have absinthe, cocktails and Tex-mex food, or if you're a vampire we can offer a tasty clientele instead."
