In a separate post from 5 April, Bocelli seems to address the ongoing pandemic, writing: "History teaches us that after this is all over, a spring will come that will be brighter than any we can recall. Then we will have an unmissable opportunity to start afresh with a new system of values (...) Let's seize this extraordinary opportunity with courage, responsibility and trust."
"(We need to) create and celebrate beauty, not just for beauty's sake, but for the good of our world," he adds, quoting Queen Rania of Jordan.
Bocelli will be performing in an empty cathedral due to the country's coronavirus situation. The event will be livestreamed and will be available for viewing globally.
