Opera singer Andrea Bocelli will be livestreaming a special Easter performance, titled Music for Hope, from the Duomo Cathedral in Milan this Sunday, 12 April.
"On Easter Sunday (April 12, 2020 at 6PM UK), by invitation of the City and of the Duomo Cathedral of Milan, Italian global music icon Andrea Bocelli will give a solo performance representing a message of love, healing and hope to Italy and the world," an official statement writes. The concert is "intended as a symbol of love, hope and healing amidst the coronavirus pandemic".

In a separate post from 5 April, Bocelli seems to address the ongoing pandemic, writing: "History teaches us that after this is all over, a spring will come that will be brighter than any we can recall. Then we will have an unmissable opportunity to start afresh with a new system of values (...) Let's seize this extraordinary opportunity with courage, responsibility and trust."
"(We need to) create and celebrate beauty, not just for beauty's sake, but for the good of our world," he adds, quoting Queen Rania of Jordan.
