Apink to hold online concert, Pink of the Year this December

As the flurry of award shows come to a gradual end, Apink is just gearing up for their personal grand event of the year.

Today (12/11), the six-member K-pop girl group announced on Twitter the coming of their online concert – Pink of the Year – this 27 December, 5PM (ID/TH Standard Time) or 6PM (PH/SG/MY Standard Time)

Listed on Interpark and Yes24, the concert is said to be a celebration of reflection of the past year, which had been “exceptionally difficult” for everyone due to the coronavirus.

While not much information has been released, ticket sales have been confirmed to begin on 14 December, 3PM (ID/TH Standard Time) or 4PM (PH/SG/MY Standard Time). Fans will have a choice of choosing between an online ticket at 33,000 won (US$30.22), or a package at 52,000 won (US$47.63) consisting of an online ticket, and a behind-the-scenes photobook. 

Engaging fans, Apink are also inviting submissions of fan chants to be used for Pink of the Year. 

According to translations, fans can upload recordings in MP3 and WAV formats, for the songs ‘Only One’, ‘I’m so sick’ and ‘Dumhdurum’.

In May, Apink performed at TikTok Stage Live From Seoul, a K-pop concert series to raise funds for COVID-19 relief efforts. Shortly after in July, Eunji of Apink also held her first-ever online concert following her solo comeback.
