Presented by DBS Bank Ltd
As part of the DBS Marina Regatta 2019, six bands from local tertiary institutions will be battling it out at the DBS Campus Band Challenge. Happening over the weekend of 1 - 2 June, from 7pm to 9pm, at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, each night will see three bands performing in hopes of winning prize money for the music club that they represent.
The People’s Choice Award will take into account the loudest cheers of the night measured through a “Sound-O-Meter”. The band which encourages the loudest cheers walks away with $1,000 prize money. There’s also a Judges’ Choice Award where judges from DBS and Bandwagon will decide who gets the coveted prize of $1,500.
Each of the competing bands represent one of six institutions – Republic Polytechnic (RP), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College East, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), National University of Singapore (NUS), and Singapore Management University (SMU).
