Over 30 Filipino musicians come together for Jam for Peace, a fundraiser for Marawi

In light of the ongoing crisis in Marawi, more artists have come to the aid of our brothers and sisters in the war torn city. Jampack Music, a group of over 30 musicians, have come together for a live music series called Jam for Peace. The bar tour will be held throughout August and September in Historia Boutique Bar and Restaurant, Route 196 (with Indie Manila), B-Side, 12 Monkeys Music Hall and Pub, and 19 East.

Barbie Almalbis, Hale, Silent Sanctuary, The Itchyworms, Mayonnaise, Sponge Cola, Rocksteddy, Save Me Hollywood, Soapdish, Aia de Leon, Ben&Ben, Lunar Lights, Farewell Fair Weather, Absolute Play, Brisom, Bea Valero, Talata, Tanya Markova, Monolog, Sileph, Kiss Jane, Leanne & Narra, Kitchie Nadal, Sud, Jensen and the Flips, Even, and April Morning Skies have all been confirmed to perform.

“It’s high time for musicians to take a stand and call for unity and peace in Mindanao. We want to affirm solidarity with Marawi in any way we could—be it performing for a cause, driving more funds for rehabilitation of homes and rescue, and spreading awareness about the plight of our countrymen in the South. We hope to foster a tight community through tumultuous times. We want to be there for everyone.”

- Jampack spokesperson Tommy Tanchanco
