With the spate of music festivals cropping up around Southeast Asia, organizers have got to get more creative to attract party-goers looking for something more than your usual cluster of sweaty stages. Beyond the beats, they're looking for an experience, and that's what Forgotten Island is valiantly attempting to provide.

Returning for a second year, Forgotten Island has tightened up from 4 days in Bali to become a 2 day boutique festival held at the island Gili Trawangan in Indonesia. The largest of the 3 Gili Islands located just off the northwestern shores of Lombok, Gili T is known as the "Party Island", and honoring the fist-pumping tradition of its host, Forgotten Island promises festival goers parties both on sand and at sea.

Announcing its first wave of international acts earlier today, the line-up includes Australian duo Peking Duk, LA based DJ NGHTMRE, as well as drum & bass producer/DJ Nu:Tone. The festival is scheduled to happen on the 27th and 28th of September and tickets are not yet available, but you can register here to get all the deets as they're released.
