The readers of Time magazine have spoken: BTS is their pick for Person Of The Year.
As defined by the magazine, the Person Of The Year mantle recognises the "person or group of people selected annually for having the greatest influence on the events of the past 12 months".
The seven-member K-pop juggernaut commanded a global share of 9% of readers' votes. What this means is that Time's readers believe BTS to be more influential than Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Donald Trump.
In Singapore, the magnitude of the band's influence is attested to in the fact that tickets for its 2019 show here are completely sold out.
