Coordinated by Kerong Chok, the SingJazz Academy is the educational and community outreach arm of the Sing Jazz Festival. Selected participants will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with internationally renowned faculty. This year’s instructors include Eugene Pao (guitar), Rudi Engel (bass), Nancy Kelly (vocals, masterclass only), Hong Chanutr-Techatananan (drums), Dale Barlow (woodwinds, big band) and Tan Wei Xiang (piano).

All musicians are encouraged to apply, and successful applicants who complete their programme of choice will receive a 3-day pass to the Singapore International Jazz Festival’s ticketed events (approx. $225 value), exclusive participation in instrumental masterclasses, and get to perform at the SingJazz Academy Showcase on 6 March 2016.
