Things you can only experience at Creative Nights with Gus Albor and CRWN

January has come and gone like a breeze — did you even have the time to take 2019 in?

We certainly didn't! And this is why we're bringing you an opportunity to let inspiration take over. Yes, the second run of Creative Nights is happening on February 8

Take a breather on a usually fast-paced, predictably traffic-laced Friday night. At the Ayala Museum, we’ll walk a bit more slowly, maybe hold hands with our someone special, and take in art and music with a cold drink in one hand and a pencil on the other. Whether you want to unleash the creativity within, make an impressionable first date, or simply let the rush hour pass you by, here are some more things you can look forward to:

An exhibit to bring back your balance

If there’s one thing we love about minimalism, it’s the fact that it is the perfect reminder of what is essential. And the works of Gus Albor do exactly that.

Work has this way of taking over one’s life, so leave it at the museum door. Take the opportunity to take in the biggest gathering of the minimalist artist’s works. As you go through oil on canvas paintings, mixed media works, paper-based illustrations, large-scale sculptures, and installation artworks, let ‘Territory’ make you remember about what (or who) matters the most.

Performances that will blow your mind

Music is definitely in each and every one of us, and there are performances that draw this out of us. The collaboration between these three artists is sure to do just that.

Let your (and perhaps your date’s?) heart find its rhythm with the collection of CRWN’s powerful beats and tunes while Gus Albor works his magic on the canvas. Treat your ears to a rare performance of Gus playing the flute with Kowboy Santos on the guitar. This very unique mix of talents and skills is sure to leave you in awe and get you inspired!

Spirits to lift the spirit higher

What better way to cap off a busy week than with probably one of the best drinks you will ever have. Gather liquid courage to let go and let loose even just for the night with Barik Supremo Lambanog

Enjoy the mind-blowing musical collaborations even more with a bottle or two of their Ginger Sour and celebrate the upcoming weekend by yourself, with a loved one, with life-long friends or newly found art mates.

Snacks to fuel that creativity more

Feeling peckish? Satisfy your cravings without missing out on the fun, by grabbing some nachos or a hotdog at the Taters Snack Bar. Just like the art + music performances, these go very well with your drinks and make up yet one more great thing to share.

A masterpiece you can call yours

Inspiration is found beyond the stage when the museum is transformed into a space not only of inspiration but also expression.

Grab a pencil or a paintbrush and find yourself in front of a canvas full of possibilities. You’re all in for a Creative Night anyway.
