Dru Chen's Got It, Babe: Exclusive Video Premiere

ESTIMATED

Singapore-based singer-songwriter Dru Chen delivered a series of stunning live performances at Music Matters 2015, especially on The Bandwagon Stage where he succeeded to keep many revellers slow-dancing past 1am, a difficult task in itself believe it or not.

Following a string of successful gigs in 2014 that culminated in a spot on Australia's funk/soul festival Mecca, Soulfest, Dru Chen is now back with a brand new music video.

BANDWAGON TV

His previous hit song, ‘Turnaround’ acquired commercial airplay in the US, Australia and Singapore; the music video was even featured as ABC’s Rage ‘Indie Clip Of The Week’. It's safe to say people have recognised the man's talent — tackling decades of soul and funk with the astute perceptiveness of a pop fanatic, winning him fans all around the region.

Being one of the few local indie artists to dive headfirst into soul and funk for most of his career, the singer-songwriter has definitely proved his worth with different crowds of music lovers — whether if it's handling production on a sleek cover of 'Uptown Funk' or audaciously flexing his vocal cords with a D'Angelo cover. Dru has cited influences such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince, the latter of whom he's been compared to.

As a follow-up track to the sci-fi adventures in ‘Turnaround’, Dru returns to earth with ‘You Got It Babe’. The track is also co-produced and features guitars by Singaporean slow-jam extraordinaire, Charlie Lim, along with Kimbra drummer Stevie Cat Jnr. Check out Bandwagon's exclusive premiere of the music video below.

'You Got It Babe' can now be purchased from iTunes. Follow Dru Chen on Facebook and Twitter for more updates.
