Registration now open for Drum-Off Singapore 2018, with international judges Luke Holland, Senri Kawaguchi and more

After a successful run last year, Singapore Drum Fest presents Drum-Off 2018, which is still accepting applications from drummers of all ages to compete for $15,000 worth of prizes.

The rigorous competition that has been on every drum enthusiast’s radar provides drummers worldwide with the platform to showcase their talents, regardless of their age or experience. Besides that, the competition also brings together like-minded individuals from drumming communities all over to meet and learn from one another.

Notably, this year the competition rounds will take place in public, giving the drummers a chance to showcase themselves to a live audience. The goal is also to raise public awareness on drumming in Singapore, with hopes that the Singapore drumming community will grow bigger over time.

This year, Drum Fest has introduced a Super Junior category for those ages 7 and below (how cute!). Other categories include Junior (12 and below), Intermediate (18 and below), Girls (Ladies under 25) – which was recently introduced last year – and Open (all ages and genders). The contestants who qualify for the semi-finals will then head to the grand-finals, which will be happening in line with Ultimate Drummers Weekend on 4 and 5 August.
