Explore a new form of storytelling at the Komura; book fair this weekend

Local book fair Komura; is making a comeback this weekend to explore new efforts for what storytelling could become.

Happening on June 16 (Saturday), independent and specialty press, experimental storytellers, and art and book shops across the country will gather at Warehouse Eight in Makati City for this intimate gathering of creatives. New programs at this year's event will feature storytelling through indie video games, zines, live music, and cocktails and coffee.

“We want Komura; to be a place where you can discover new artists and writers otherwise unknown, not just a place to buy and sell books," Warehouse Eight co-owner and Komura; co-founder Kayla Dionisio explains. "You go there to connect, discuss, have a beer with and initiate meaningful conversations with creators in the community."

Tickets to Komura; are available at the door for PHP 200 and PHP 100 for kids under 10 years old.
