FXTRT release the playful and confident 'Maggie' — listen

The band is playful not only in terms of titles but also in terms of their music: while the quirkily named ‘Maggie’ is the first single off the math rock quartet’s upcoming sophomore EP, the single oozes confidence and surety.

The single defines FXTRT as a confident yet playful band which reflects how they are "serious about playing not-so-serious music" – which is exactly what they mention on their website. The single comes off as a cohesive and synchronous whole, and it shows the breadth of experience the band has already managed to collect in their relatively short time of three years together.

The band’s sophomore EP, Bento Set A, will be released on the 30th of June. The band will celebrate the release of their EP with a concert, supported by indie pop quintet Subsonic Eye and alternative rock trio Xingfoo&Roy.
