Housed under Singaporean label Phyla, newly-formed group AKJ Trio is a band unlike any other.

Comprising of KAIN on production, Anomy on drums and jandaL on bass - the virtuoso outfit look organically blend their disparate influences into an shape-shifting and free-flowing sonic entity.

Their first collaborative effort isn't a collection of tracks so much as a 17 minute jam, bridging the gap between electronic and acoustic elements, while walking the fine line between production, composition and improvisation.

Recorded in one-take, their first set together is the perfect crystallization of their ambitious live music-making ethos, where any one of them can (and does) take the music into any direction at any given time.

This liberating set-up can seem wild and full of pitfalls, but these three navigate their uncharted space with rarely-seen finesse, often choosing unbeaten paths, leading into more interesting terrain.
