Heavy metal icons Judas Priest are returning to the region this year.
The English heavy metal band formed all the way back in 1969, solidifying their spot as one of the true pioneers of heavy metal alongside bands like Black Sabbath. The band are known for classic metal anthems like 'Painkiller', 'Breaking The Law', and countless more. Over the span of their incredible 49-year-long career, the band have released 18 studio albums, many of which have garnered positive reviews. Earlier this year, the band released Firepower, which has been touted as the band's best offering since 1990's Painkiller.
After long last, Judas Priest will be performing in Jakarta, Indonesia this December in what is set to be one of the biggest metal concerts in the country this year. Show promoters Rajawali Indonesia Comm took to Instagram to announce the blockbuster show last week. With Indonesian President Joko Widodo's reputation as a metalhead being well known, it's likely he'll be in attendance.
Judas Priest are set to perform at Ecopark Ancol Jakarta, Indonesia on 7 December from 8pm onwards. Presale tickets go on sale Saturday, 4 August, 12pm for Rp 450,000 (SGD $42.50). Regular tickets on Aug. 5 from Rp 650,000 (SGD $61.49). Get your tickets when they go live here.
