Head down to Armenian Street this weekend to celebrate Peranakan culture with food, workshops, activities and an eclectic musical lineup with the likes of artists and DJs such as The Jazz DjogetsSMU Samba MasalaThe PinholesKiDGRudy Djoe & The Mansoor QuartetSambiestaAkeem Jahat and A/K/A Sounds. Hip-hop collective Hybreed Society will also be at the event to launch its new EP This Way Up.

Organised by the Peranakan MuseumArmenian Street Party: Living Peranakan aims to celebrate the museum's 11-year-operation before it closes for renovations. Attendees can expect to be immersed in Peranakan culture through various activities from food tastings to embroidery workshops at three different locations: Armenian Street, Peranakan Museum and lyf@SMU.

Adding the light-hearted, comedic relief will be Hossan Leong and Fakkah Fuzz, who are two of Singapore's highly acclaimed comedians. A boxing-ring-inspired photo booth will also be available to capture your experience at the event.

To top it off, there will be showcase of a traditional 12-day Peranakan wedding ceremony. Usually a private affair, visitors will be privy to the intricacies of one of the culture's most celebrated occasions.
