LISTEN: VVOLF ruminates on the 4th of July with the joy of music on 'Independence Day'

While guitarist Keith Soo-Tho has been at it for a while with his work as a singer-songwriter, his group VVOLF is a slightly different beast altogether, and their name is a slight nod to the frontman's previous status as a "lone wolf".

So, as it is right now, Keith Soo-Tho is Keith VVolf, and with his new band, he unveils 'Independence Day', a folk-tinged pop rock number that plays it safe with its immense studio polish and pleasing melodies.

It also comes with a feel-good video of a wide-eyed child embracing the joys of music — discovering The Beatles and fashioning his own cardboard instrument, eventually — *spoilers* — gifted with a real electric guitar by his mother (no shit, that's a really cool mom).

The song, however, tells a different story — one of a tearful breakup on America's independence day. At least... that's what we, uh, think. If you love the freedom to rock and the freedom to love, this is probably for you.
