In an interesting move to promote this year's edition, the people behind Singapore Coffee Festival have engaged four different musicians — electronic pop band Riot !n Magenta, radio DJ/singer Joshua Simon and producers Mitch Advent and Fauxe — for the unlikeliest project.

To serve as odes to the everlasting power of the popular caffeine beverage, each act has produced a track with the relation to coffee, and the stipulation was that they had "to record the distinctive sounds that specialty coffee machines", as it says on the festival's Soundcloud page.

The compositions are part of a campaign devised under the festival's promotional arm, titled #SCFSounds.
