Local alternative-rock band Cadence, is set to release their debut EP Heights with a launch at Hood Bar and Café on November 14 at 7 pm.

Cadence’s self-produced five-track EP, recorded mostly in the members’ home studios, explores the theme of pre-flight. "It signifies transition, like a fledgling about to take off for the first time into a world of uncertainty; yet, there is also a readiness and a sense of expectancy for the endless possibilities to come."

While this theme perfectly encapsulates their current status as a relative newcomer to the Singapore independent music scene, Heights also represents the members’ collective desire to grow and mature, both as individuals and as a band.

The band also recognises and credits the advice and help received from their mentors and fellow musicians in the local music scene. 

“We’re grateful to have had support from our mentors and friends through the course of producing Heights,” said singer/guitarist Seth Chiam, “From the production process to the art direction, they helped us fine tune the EP to what it has become. We couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.” 

With the EP set to launch, the quintet are in the midst of planning a mini tour in 2016.
