While Day 1 shook things up a bit with a neatly varied line-up, Day 2 was all about explosive rock music, and all the chaos and irreverence that come with it.
Ending off with another headlining set by veteran pop-punk band Plainsunset — who last headlined Baybeats 2016 and are currently prepping their final album — the entire day was filled with sets that were incredibly spirited, and the energy was reciprocated all around with the student-heavy crowd.
There was the prog-rock theatrics of Bear Culture, the spunky punk rock of Iman's League, the fierce rap-rock of Young, Tell Lie Vision's message-heavy anthems, Fader's subtly emotive musicality, and the freewheeling swagger of The Summer State — whose recent single 'Enough' is more unashamedly pop than ever, and even more euphoric when played live.
