The brand of Jack Daniel’s has been championing local music for the past years but 2016’s Jack Daniel’s Future Legends Indiefest marks itself as its biggest and grandest so far. The event, held at Circuit Makati last May 28, Saturday, boasted a line-up including the country’s best local acts. By the end of the night, a total of 38 artists graced the three showcased stages. The stages were accordingly named the Old No. 7 stood as the main stage while On The Rocks was featured as the Modern Rock Stage and the Barrel House as the Indie/Alt Stage.

The night’s music was served by various JD fest regulars and newcomers, notably some imports from outside Metro Manila-- FOC Fashion from Cebu and Thea from Davao. Concert goers were not also treated by great music, the JD Indiefest was littered with food and activity booths that kept audiences enthused through the evening.

Come night fall, Flying Ipis, Autotelic, and Mr. Bones and the Boneyard Circus, and Jack Daniel’s On Stage Chosen One, Farewall Fair Weather, took on the main stage. The evening, then, was nightcapped with headliners - indie favorites Up Dharma Down, and superband, Brain Salad made of industry greats: Basti Atradi of Wolfgang, David Aguirre, Louie Talan and Brian Velasco all from Razorback fame. Super, indeed.
