Protomartyr announce Asian tour leg, including dates in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur

Post-punk band Protomartyr will be heading to Asia next month, including two dates in Kuala Lumpur and Indonesia.

The prolific Detroit band have gone from strength to strength since their formation a decade ago, breaking through with 2014's Under Color of Official Right. They put out The Agent Intellect the next year, and in 2017 released Relatives in Descent, their most recent album.

They're known and loved for frontman Joe Casey's unbothered, barking delivery; the bleak moodiness of their records, which have addressed topics like gentrification and the radicalisation of domestic terrorists; as well as their tense, aggressive musicianship.

Yesterday Protomartyr revealed a new song, 'Wheel of Fortune', off Consolation EP, a forthcoming project recorded partly with Kelley Deal of The Breeders. The EP will be out 15 June on Domino Recording Co. They also released tour dates, including some stops in Asia:
