Record Store Day Indonesia (RSDI) is back. On its sixth iteration, RSDI will take place on the 7th floor of Kuningan City, South Jakarta on Friday and Saturday, April 21 to April 22.
Kuningan City was chosen as the venue not only because of its strategic location, but the event organizers also want to provide more comfort to both the visitors (potential buyers) and the physical release sellers, thus why the place is a good option to throw this year's RSDI.
For this year, dozens of independent music store are participating. So far we have 40 (and counting) releases to be launched in conjunction with RSDI, chiefly among them:
The Trees and the Wild - Monumen (EP)
Petaka - Live at Extreme Moshpit (cassette)
Payung Teduh - Live and Loud (cassette)
Giant Step - Life Not The Same (CD, vinyl, cassette boxset)
Alice - Konsorsiumhumaniora (cassette)
Mocca - Dear Friends (cassette),
and a lot more to come.
For two days, the visitors will also be entertained with performance of several bands like Giant Step - one of Indonesia's legendary progressive rock bands, then there's The Brandals, Petaka, Fable, The Trees and the Wild, Dialog Dini Hari, Monkey To Millionaire, Barefood, Skalie, Sentimental Moods, Indische Party, Polyester Embassy, Piston, Ramayana Soul and a few more other acts.
Apart from a bazaar and band performances, there will also be a workshop, auctions and exhibitions.
