Registrations for Stärker Music Jams 2019 are open from now until 30 August. Presented by Stärker Music, in collaboration with Cross Ratio Entertainment, the forth edition of the Stärker Music Jams invites aspiring singers and bands aged 18 and above to showcase their talents. Participants have to be at least 18 years old, and may register as either a soloist or a band.

To sign up, follow these steps:

1. Participate by uploading a 60-second video of yourself singing on Facebook and/or Instagram. Tag mention Stärker Music (@starkermusicsg on Facebook / @starkermusic on Instagram) and Cross Ratio Entertainment (@crossratio on Facebook/Instagram) with the hashtag #starkermusicjams2019
2. The post should be set to public.
3. Fill up the registration form at bit.ly/smj2019register

Winners will stand a chance to win up to $30,000's worth of prizes, which includes cash sponsors, sponsored prizes, a 12-month management deal and have their music produced by a renowned producer. 

The competition consists of two rounds – the semi-finals and the finals. The semi-finals will be held at selected Stärker outlets in the month of September. Each performance should last 20 minutes, including four to five songs and audience engagement. The semi-finalists will be judged based on their vocal abilities, presentation and audience engagement. The finalists will be selected from the live performances based on the deliberations of the music industry judges (40%), Stärker Group management (40%) and by public voting (20%). Once the finalists have emerged, they will proceed with their preparations for the finals at the Stärker Music Carnival, under the mentorship of industry professionals.

Stärker Music Jams is a platform for aspiring singers and bands to gain traction in the local music scene. Participants will have a chance to be mentored by industry veterans such as Dex Wong (manager of Gentle Bones, YAØ and Gareth Fernandez) and Willy Tan (previous manager of Jasmine Sokko and ShiGGa Shay). Contestants will learn from the cream of the crop of Singapore's music scene and stand a chance to perform at the Stärker Music Carnival alongside renowned regional and local artistes. The lineup of Stärker Music Carnival 2019 will be announced at a later date.
