Rob & the Hitmen announce breakup and last show

Rob & the Hitmen are calling it quits.

On Sunday (10/07), the 'Favorite Donut' act wrote a statement about the "wonderful two years" they spent with the local indie scene, noting how they "met the people we only idolized when we were younger and got opportunities to play with/for them, and performed at festivals and events that we thought were impossible for us."

While the Filipino R&B/funk act didn't mention the reason behind the breakup, they announced that they will be playing their last show on October 18 (Thursday) at SaGuijo in Makati City. Show details and full lineup to be revealed soon.

Read their full statement below.

BANDWAGON TV

Hi!

It's been quite a wonderful two years for us since we started 'gigging' in the local indie scene. We met the people we only idolized when we were younger and got opportunities to play with/for them, and performed at festivals and events that we thought were impossible for us—but it happened.

We want to thank everyone who made that possible. We could name you one by one but we'd run out of space, so let us just say THANK YOU. You made four friends somehow achieve their dreams.

With both heavy and happy hearts, we invite you to come join us for our last gig on October 18 in saGuijo. It'll be our honor to make you move one last time.

Once again, THANK YOU!

With love,

Rob and the Hitmen
