On this week's RRR — we look back on Wonderfruit, look forward to We The Fest, and pick our funeral songs

Recent Record Reviews used to be a video series where the Bandwagon editors talked about records (that are recent). We're now a weekly podcast, because we have faces for radio.

But more than just albums, RRR has now expanded its scope to present everything from events and news to single premieres! So tune in to hear your hosts Daniel Peters and Hidzir Junaini (and the occasional special guest) candidly discussing the current affairs of regional music.

After last week's embarrassing Valentine's Day special, we now return you to you regularly scheduled programming.

This week, Hidzir talks about his trippy experience at Thailand's Wonderfruit festival while Daniel speculates about the promising lineup for Jakarta's forthcoming We The Fest.

And on the local front, we also discuss this weekend's biggest happenings including Guns N' Roses' debut in Singapore, Yumi's album launch, MY DISCO's highly-anticipated return and Darell Laser's triple booking at two of those shows.

We also spend some discussing The Temper Trap's lasting influence on Singaporean musicians, Vince Staples' fascinating examination of Chuck Taylor's legacy in LA street culture and Japan's exciting indie music scene ahead of the Singapore leg of the SPACE SHOWER RETSUDEN tour.

And for some reason, both editors went a little off tangent to talk about the songs that they want to be played at their respective funerals. Choices range as far as Pink Floyd and Papa Roach - so it really is more amusing than it is morbid.

Happy weekend everybody, it's gonna be a busy one! Download this week's episode here.
