Shakira and Burna Boy have joined forces for a brand new global anthem. On 15 May, the award-winning superstars released their new collaborative single, 'Dai Dai', via Sony Music Latin. The track has also been announced as the official anthem of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

The release arrives alongside major news for football and music fans alike: Shakira is officially set to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Final Halftime Show on 19 July alongside Madonna and BTS. The event will mark the first-ever halftime show in FIFA World Cup™ history, bringing together some of the world’s biggest artists for a global celebration of music, sport, and culture.

As announced during Global Citizen NOW in New York, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund aims to raise US$100 million by the end of the tournament to provide children worldwide with access to education and sports opportunities. Shakira will donate royalties from 'Dai Dai' directly to the initiative, while Sony Music will match the first US$250,000 raised. The Colombian icon is also pledging US$1 from every ticket sold on her upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour toward the fund.

Speaking on the collaboration, Burna Boy shared: “The World Cup is one of the few things the entire world experiences together. Football and music speak the same language. They bring people together no matter where you’re from and being part of this moment through music means a lot to me.”

The announcement continues a massive year for Shakira. This summer, the singer will embark on a limited run of US arena dates for her record-breaking Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, giving fans a more intimate opportunity to experience her live production. In October, she is also set to headline an 11-night stadium residency in Madrid, with a specially built “Shakira Stadium” reportedly already selling more than half a million tickets.

Earlier this month, Shakira made headlines after performing to more than two million fans at Rio de Janeiro’s Todo Mundo No Rio concert at Copacabana Beach — one of the highest attended concerts of all time. The career-spanning set featured hits including 'Hips Don’t Lie', 'La Tortura', and 'La Bicicleta', alongside appearances from Brazilian stars Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Ivete Sangalo, and dance group Mare Dance. According to organisers, the event generated an estimated 800 million in economic impact for the local economy and sparked a 123% increase in travel bookings.
