Singapore Art Book Fair returns this year at Gillman Barracks

The comprehensive and eclectic Singapore Art Book Fair returns for another round in 2017.

Now taking place at Gillman Barracks, it will be held at the venue from April 28th to 30th, showcasing a widespread mix of contemporary art books and zines by a host of artists and publishers.

The fair will have a special opening night event on the 27th, which includes a live performance by singer-songwriter Kelly Raphaelle.

Returning to the fair on opening night is the Proletariat Poetry Factory, a collective of poets who will be onsite to write customizable poetry on authentic typewriters.

Making its debut at the event, however, is the Wall Of Women, presented by organizers BooksActually — a wall dedicated to zines by women from all around the world. And if you're feeling inspired enough, you can even join a Make-Your-Own-Zine workshop by the fair.

With the fair's shift from ArtScience Museum in 2016, which drew over 8,000 people, to the sizeable Gillman Barracks, this might be their biggest one yet.
