Sónar is an internationally recognized electronic music festival and conference (named Sónar + D), widely recognized as the cutting edge of electronic music developments worldwide.
Known for its eclectic line-up and curation, the festival expanded to Hong Kong from its home city, Barcelona, this year, hosting — among others — DJ Shadow, Nosaj Thing, Lady Leshurr, PC Music's Danny L Harle, Clark, and more.
Sónar + D will also be making an appearance in Sonar Hong Kong, where developers and innovators will have the opportunity to share and discuss ideas with regard to creative technology.
The festival giant just announced the festival’s second installment in 2018 — to happen on March 17th, and provided some juicy details on their website.
It reveals that ‘audiences can look forward to an expertly curated mix of established artists and hotly tipped emerging talents, and diverse performances ranging from live acts to DJs, and dance-floor-driven sets to experimental electronica’. Sounds exciting already.
Their 2017 flagship event in Barcelona boasts the likes of Nicolas Jaar, Bjork, Arca, Thundercat, Earl Sweatshirt, Anderson Paak, and lots more. It's anyone's guess who they'll bring to Hong Kong next year.
Festival organizers also released early bird tickets, which can be purchased for 780HKD (S$137.80) here.
