Spotify has announced its latest function.

The streaming giant has revealed that users will be able to customise playlists to include their preferred mix of music and podcasts. The feature is currently only available on mobile, but is expected to make its way onto the desktop app in the coming weeks. 

The announcement is the latest in the company's Audio First business strategy, through which Spotify has been able to integrate podcasts onto the platform, with the acquisitions of Gimlet and Anchor – the latter of which, allows users to create podcasts and upload them directly from their devices.
