Stärker Music, in collaboration with Cross Ratio Entertainment, is back with its second edition of the Stärker Music Jams.

Registration for Stärker Music Jams 2017 is now open until September 30th. All local bands with original music are invited to apply for the competition. 

There are two rounds of the competition, the preliminary and final rounds. For the preliminary rounds, all entrants are entitled free video recording sessions for their original piece(s) upon registration. The recorded video will be shared on Stärker Music's Facebook page for online voting. The bands are allowed to use the recorded video for their own promotional purposes.

Early registration is highly recommended as the bands will be granted more time for fans to vote for them. Only four bands will be selected to make it to the finals, based on votes and judges' criteria of musicality and originality. 

The four finalists will then perform a live showcase at the Stärker Music Carnival 2017 on November 4th. The bands will also be sharing the stage with several local and international acts as part of the carnival's line-up. An overall winner will be announced on the event day itself. 

The winning band will receive the prize of a residency with Stärker Music, a music video shoot fully sponsored by Stärker, and a 1-year management deal with a record label (subject to terms and conditions).On top of the the prizes stated, the winner of Stärker Music Jams will also secure a fully sponsored recording of their single. That's a pretty sweet deal.

Stärker Music Jams was previously known as VOLT: Amplifying Local Talents, and it featured contestants such as Jasmine Sokko and Astronauts, the latter eventually emerging as winners in 2016.

Stärker Music Carnival 2017 will take place on November 4th at Tanjong Pagar Centre's Urban Park.
