The lineup of Stone Temple Pilots has been plagued by tragedy in recent years. Original vocalist Scott Weiland died in 2015 after a drug overdose, and Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, who served as STP's vocalist between 2013 and 2015, died last July. In 2016, the band started auditioning new vocalists, and they've found Jeff Gutt, with whom they've recorded this new track 'Roll Me Under'.

Stone Temple Pilots have also announced a new album, which will be out 16 March. Curiously, it will be titled Stone Temple Pilots – just like their last album, released in 2010. Perhaps this is a sign that STP have found in Gutt a vocalist to wholly embrace and start a new arc of their career with.
