Under the banner of Singapura Rock, four heroes of guitar-forward Singaporean rock music, will band together for a rabble-rousing show: Thambi K Seaow, Plainsunset, Take-Off and Amterible.
Trafficking in a spectrum of sounds that includes fist-up, power-chord-scraping rock, serrated pop-punk and bleeding-heart emo, each band has blazed a niche for itself in the ecosystem of Singaporean music. Beneath the noise, what makes this show such a poignant affair is that it's a militantly unpretentious showcase of Singapore-flavoured rock from some of the best to ever do it, that happens a day after National Day.
Singapura Rock: Thambi K Seaow, Plainsunset, Take-Off and Amterible goes down on Saturday, 10 August, at Al Capone's Far East Shopping Centre, from 7pm onwards. Get your tickets, $15, here. For more information, click here.
