After a decade of shaking the world of Filipino underground punk, Tiger Pussy have announced that they will be taking a break.

In a post on their Facebook page, the Cebu-based quartet revealed that they going on indefinite hiatus, following their SxS Final Tour in 2018.

They write, "It's been quite a ride. A decade. And all we know is that a band is not band if not for everyone and everything that shaped it. All the kindness since the beginning is not forgotten and never will be. Thank you for being a part of our humble journey. From the tiniest nudge of encouragement, to supporting our albums, our tours, our shirts, and finally... for listening and taking to heart what little we could give."

In a message to Unite Asia, Tiger Pussy vocalist Jan Sunday clarified that "this is definitely not the end but probably just a long pause," pointing out that members of the band have decided to forge on with personal goals.

Our whole existence was to the brim with sunshine and salvation, with erratic decisions and electric engagements. A hole we keep digging in and running to when nothing seemed quite right in our waking lives.
