The ArtScience Museum has been hosting a ton of great, collaborative performances in recent months under their brilliant after-hours banner ArtScience Late. And things won't be any different for the month of August.

Next week, famed Singaporean bassist and soul man Tim De Cotta will be presenting a night of progressive modern jazz and future-soul inspired beats, sprinkled with a R&B and hip-hop for good measure. Dubbed as The Psychoactive Jazzhop Trip, the night is described as an event where the "pattern-grid world where grit meets glitz."

Featuring The Tim De Cotta Triad alongside experimental jazz band DasGeFoo (made up of TAJ's Audrey Tengkey, The Steve McQueens' Aaron James Lee, The Mothership's Jase Sng and Sebastian Sibbald) and surging Darker Than Wax beatsmith Fzpz, this should be an incredible night of fusion.

And last but not least, groundbreaking audio-visual collective New Media Assembly (NMA) will also be providing the visuals that night, which promises to "bridge the intersection between art technology and design."

ArtScience Late: Tim De Cotta presents The Psychoactive Jazzhop Trip happens on Thursday, 25 August, 7.30pm, at the ArtScience Musuem Expression Gallery, Level 4. Admission is free.
